World Pumpkin Carving Championship

Well another great year is behind us and this year had a lot of wonderful talent displayed! Thank you to all of the participants, kids and adults alike! I'm happy to report that almost all of the pumpkins spoke to one judge or another, that is the beauty of the competition, anyone can win. However this year brings the trophy back to a familiar place. The Taylor household! Pumpkin Number 2, "Gah!" by Mark Taylor spoke most loudly to the judges and was selected as the winner! Second place goes to Sarah Olinski with pumpkin number 9, nice alternative pumpkin! And finally third place to another pumpkin substitute, and rookie carver, Kelly Carswell with pumpkin number 1 'Cyril Sneer'.  Well done everyone! Ribbons for all the kids to come! Hello Kids from Around the World!! New to the competition this year is a very exciting addition of a Children's Competition!! These kids have done a great job of capturing the spirit of a champion carver and they can look forward to receiving their 2015 WPCC Carvers Ribbon in the mail soon!  Great job kids, or  Godt Arbejde as they say in Denmark? !!  Amy Taylor Drawn by Amy, Carved by Mom Zoe and Riley Age 2 They did the gutting, the piece removal, the picture taking and the hen feeding (the hens got the guts). Hello Folks! Well this year has brought a great theme, "Funny Faces" is the name of the game and we have some veteran carvers bringing their "Game Faces"! Welcome to our new carvers as well, we hope that you find some pleasure from seeing your work on the world wide web in such a prestigious competition. I mean seriously, we're the #1 Google hit when you search World Pumpkin Carving Championship. The internet has spoken people, and they have given us the right to brag a little.  So go ahead, tell your friends and family that Saturday wasn't just any day, it was the day your life was changed because you entered the #WPCC2015. And while you're at it, check out our Kids Entrants this year!! All these little carvers are winners and deserve some props! May the best pumpkin win!
